Personal Care

Personal care products have long been lightly regulated in the US, with far fewer ingredients restricted than in the European Union. Testing keeps finding chemicals of concern across the category: phthalates in fragrance, parabens in lotions and shampoos, formaldehyde releasers in hair products, PFAS in long-wear makeup, and heavy metals in some lip products. Many are linked to hormone disruption, and because you apply these directly and daily, the exposure adds up.
